Kawana Waters Holiday

After many years we made a last minute decision to take a holiday this year. We found this lovely resort at Kawana Waters - Beachside Resort. We booked the week before Christmas. It was so lovely to get away from Brisbane and relax up the coast. The girls had a great time and so did Henry.

We didn't just stay at Kawana Waters the entire time, we took a drive down to Caloundra to our favourite Fish n Chip shop for lunch and the kids played in the sand at Golden Beach. Mooloolaba and Maroochydore were both very busy spots but still lovely to visit again.

Here are some pics of our holiday

The surf club over the road from the resort had Carols by Candlelight on 20th
with loads of things happening for the afternoon and evening
Santa arrived at Kawana Surf Club on the back of a beach buggy

just across the road in the park at the beach
what a great idea, they should have more of these
it's just like a playground except that it is gym equipment
even has instruction signs on how to use each machine
Golden Beach Caloundra, we drove down to our favourite Fish n Chip shop for lunch. We sat and enjoyed the best fish n chips around and afterwards the kids had fun playing in the sand.
Seagulls looking for some left overs LOL!!
Shannon using Sarah's Nemo bucket to build herself sandcastles

Chloe attempting to make a dribble castle (I think)
Sarah and Henry using the shapes from her bucket and spade set
Over the sand shapes now, lets dig a tunnel

We also went to Shelly Beach at Caloundra, I always brought the girls here whenever we were at Caloundra, you can always find the most amazing shells and to top it off it's a great lesson on sea life, just by walking all the rocks and looking into the rock pools.

Isn't this sweet
