Scrap with V Cyber Crop Challenge

Well I managed to get one more challenge done over at Scrap with V Fabric Frenzy Cyber Crop.

This one is challenge 2 with Kim Kendell.

Kim's criteria was -

Using the following sized pieces of fabric create a LO

1 x 13” x 13”

1 x 10” x 10”

3 pieces 2” x 12”
ribbon to match (optional)
Some fabric in a shade of green to co-ordinate

Now for the twist

NO pattern paper or cardstock to be used (other than as a base to support the fabric There is to be no visible CS/PP showing)
It must have at least 3 handmade fabric flowers and Leaves
Stitching
Journaling block
Bling

this is my take on Kim's challenge

I stuck to the criteria, made my flowers and I even did hand stitching on the layout, the very first time I have hand stitched on a layout. However you can barely see it LOL!! but I did it.

Has been a fantastic Cyber Crop and I can't wait for the next one on the 7th May.

Scrap with V April Cyber Crop Challenges

Another great Cyber Crop over at Scrap with V this month the theme was Fabric Frenzy. Although I don't sew and don't have much in the way of fabrics I did find some from which both Sarah and Shannon had to use for sewing at high school so managed to get some challenges done.

My challenge was a sketch so I have given everyone a sketch from Liz Qualman, I love her sketches.

This is Liz Qualman's sketch
and this was my take on the sketch

I have also got Challenge 1 done. Criteria by the lovely Phillipa was

Fabric
Ribbon
Lace
Pearls
Flowers
Journalling and a
Buttefly somewhere on your layout.

Loved this challenge
this is my layout below for Phillipa's challenge

now for the card challenge with Millie
not exactly what was asked for in the criteria but I like the end result

Now to try and get the other challenges done

Thanks for stopping by.

Screen 2 Scrap April Challenge with the funniest thing LOL!!

Been giving these challenges a go this month and got this one done over at Screen 2 Scrap. Loved the challenge, included all the criteria in my layout so emailed it over to Shazza.

Wasn't until I saw it up at Screen 2 Scrap that I noticed a darn ant had made it's way onto my layout when I took the photo LOL!! so my car now looks like it's blowing ants LOL!!

Check this out. See if you can find the ant LOL!! just click on my layout and have a look LOL!!

Now that I have the funny side out of the way, it was a fantastic challenge that I did enjoy. Here is the April Challenge

Aprils 'Little Miss Sunshine' criteria
Added criteria:

1) Must use yellow on the page, either the title, base cardstock or photo matt = 1 bonus point

2) Must use as part of your title 'Little Miss'....... or 'Little Master'....... Example: Little Miss Happy. Little Master Grumpy or Lille Miss Megan or Little Master Connor = 1 bonus point

3) **Movie Diva Demand** for an extra 3 bonus points.... give me either a car, truck, train or van somewhere on the page

Total bonus points for the month = 5 bonus points

Pretty sure I covered all the criteria in my layout

My yellow mazda6 is the car on my layout which I have used photoshop to add
a face to her (just like on the movie cars). Love my car.
I used photos of my girls that I took at the beach the other day and cut around them both and added them to the layout leaning on the car.
Yellow background cardstock
and Little Miss in the title

Thanks for stopping by hope you got a good laugh too

ARTastic April Challenge

Well I've finally managed to get an ARTastic Challenge done. Go check it out, fantastic inspirational challenges.

This months challenge

Aprils inspiration will come from the painting 'St Nicholas Circle' by Thomas Kinkade

St Nicholas Circle criteria:

Use this inspiration to scrap your house, the street where you live, beach house, street scape etc......

Note - this does not have to be a winter scene

Added criteria - Each item added to your page = 1 bonus point
1) Lamp
2) Arrowed sign post
3) Bridge
4) Rotunda/Gazebo
5) Green roofed house Total = 5 points

All items have been taken from the painting

ENJOY!!

my take on the challenge

Here I used the actual inspirational painting and smudged it in Photoshop to make the background patterned paper.

This was our house for 10 years,
in the gardens were lovely purple daisies
the Criteria I covered as follows
the green roof - being in the photo of our house.
The arrow sign post which I added our street name
the lamp I added our surname to pose as our outside welcome light
The funny thing though is that I have minature paintings from Thomas Kinkade which were given to me from my American friend many years ago, I have used them here on my layout (being the gazebo and the bridge) these were displayed in our house at that time.

Was fantastic that I finally got to scrap our old house.

Thanks for stopping by.
