Handmade Pressies

These are a few of the handmade gifts I made for Christmas Presents this year. This post will probably give away who I was a secret santa for this year.

I made 4 of these in total for gifts this year. Just love the Kaiser bay window kit.

This is another of the Kaiser workshops, I just changed the papers and colours, this one was for Shannon filled with make-up for Christmas.

This handbag was made for Chloe and I filled it with lipgloss and nail polish

Shannon wanted to give her boyfriend Jake something handmade for Christmas. Shannon decided that this was what she wanted to do for him. Shannon made this "J" with a little help from me. He loved it by the way.

Birthdays - Andrew, Sarah & Chloe

December is a very busy month, with 3 birthday's and then Christmas on top. Have been busy organising birthday parties, bbq's and holidays.

Andrew's birthday was early in the month 5th December, we had a BBQ on the back deck to celebrate. Andrew had a fantastic time.

Me, Andrew and Millie chomping into the beautiful white chocolate cake my mother made for his birthday YUM!!!Chloe's 10th birthday party we had a little pool party with a few of her friends from school the day after Andrew's BBQ - 6th December (Chloe's birthday is actually 17th but it's hard to have a party during holiday time so we move it forward for her). They all had a great time in the pool. We had a Princess crown pinata which they had great fun trying to smash it.

The biggest kids of all LOL!! Sarah and boyfriend Henry having fun with the party bubbles

Party lolly bag for each of the girls.

Chloe's actual birthday, 17th December. Opening her pressie that she had no idea about and was totally surprised to get her DS - finally LOL!!

OMG it's a DS!!

Before we went away for our holiday we had the family come over on 17th to celebrate both Chloe's and Sarah's birthday.

who said anything about sharing the cake with the rest of the family LOL!!

Sarah's 17th birthday - 20th December was celebrated up at Kawana Waters where we were holidaying this year. She opened her gifts in the apartment, we went swimming, took her out for dinner and then there was fireworks on the beach right out front of where we were staying. Made for an excellent night for her.

Don't touch bottom Sarah or you will have to kiss the nearest boy LOL!!
OOPS!! - touched bottom
Of course the nearest boy was Henry
Sarah posted off her logbook so she can go for her P plates on 31st, she has received the text back to say it's been approved so all is ago for her test on 31st. Fingers crossed for her that she gets it first go.

Glorious Caloundra - My favourite Place

Earlier this month Lindy, Millie, Shannon and I went for a day trip up to Caloundra. Was a beautiful day, we had lunch at Kings Beach, soaked up the sea breeze and sun. Thank you Lindy for getting me away from it all for the day, I really enjoyed it.

Trimming the Christmas Tree

Every year we traditionally trim the tree as a family. The girls love decorating the tree and themselves, fun time for us all.

More Storms tonight - Lightning Photos

Well more storms came through again tonight. We were lucky this time and still have our power but Aspley and over that way are without power at the moment. Millie (my mother-in-law) is scrapbooking by candle light tonight.

I have this thing at the moment taking photos of the lightning, managed to get some pretty good shots tonight.

These photos were taken from my back deck

These were taken from my front verandah

Missing You

My eldest daughter's boyfriend went off to Schoolies for a week and poor Sarah was missing him terribly the entire week. She sat down and made him a card for when he returned on Saturday morning, filled with lots of meaningful words, brought tears to my eyes - young love. This is the card she made for him.

The Beauty of Nature

Well on the weekend we noticed that the birds nesting in the tree out the front of our place have hatched and mum was feeding her little one's, I managed to get a few shots (not very good as it was through glass). We weren't sure if they survived the storms as we had found a few eggs on the footpath but obviously a couple survived. Aren't they cute.
